Image Licence

One licence covers every image set. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

01What you receive

A non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to use the Pretty Normal People digital image assets you purchased. The licence covers one purchasing individual, or one purchasing organisation.

If an organisation buys a set, its employees and contractors may use the files for work belonging to that organisation. No separate team licence is needed.

Pretty Normal People grants you this licence to the extent of the rights Pretty Normal People is entitled to grant. It is a contractual licence, and it also covers any copyright and related rights that legally exist in the assets. No exclusivity is granted by default.

No attribution is required. You do not need to renew anything.

02You can

Subject to the terms below, use the files in professional creative work:

  • Presentations, moodboards and concept work
  • Client presentations and pitches
  • Advertising and campaign work
  • Websites, apps and product interfaces
  • Social content
  • Editorial and print design
  • Commercial creative work and internal company work
  • Cropping, retouching, grading and compositing the files into your own work

03You cannot

  • Resell or redistribute the original files, edited or unedited
  • Republish the files as part of an asset library, template or stock collection
  • Pass the original download on to another organisation
  • Claim exclusivity over any image or set
  • Use the files for AI or machine-learning training (see below)
  • Use the files for deceptive identity purposes
  • Present a depicted character as a specific real individual
  • Create fake endorsements or testimonials attributed to a real individual
  • Use the files as documentary or evidentiary material presented as authentic photography

04AI transparency

The characters depicted in these images are fictional and AI-generated. You must not deliberately present an image in a way that falsely suggests that the depicted character is a specific real individual.

Where your use is subject to laws requiring disclosure of AI-generated or manipulated content, you are responsible for providing the required disclosure. You are not responsible for Pretty Normal People's own legal obligations, and Pretty Normal People is not responsible for yours. Each party is responsible for its own use.

Do not remove or falsify provenance information embedded in the supplied files where doing so would create a misleading impression about the origin of the content.

05Identity deception

The images are visual resources. They are not licensed as tools for identity deception. You may not use them for:

  • Impersonating a real person, or naming a depicted character as a real individual
  • Fake testimonials or endorsements presented as coming from a real individual
  • Fraudulent profiles, catfishing or any deceptive identity creation
  • Identity fraud
  • Misleading evidence or fabricated documentary material
  • False news presented as authentic photography
  • Deceptive political material

06Sensitive contexts

Because the characters are photorealistic, you may not build a false real-world biography around them. Do not present a depicted character as a real patient, a real criminal suspect, a real victim, a real political candidate, a real employee, a real customer giving a testimonial, a real person with a specific medical diagnosis, or any other identifiable real individual.

This does not restrict ordinary professional work. Healthcare design concepts, service design, advertising, presentations, editorial layouts, moodboards, product visualisation, UX concepts and campaign concepts are all fine. Illustrative representation is allowed; deceptive claims of real identity are not.

07AI and ML training

AI / ML training is not included in the standard licence. That includes model training and fine-tuning, embedding the files in datasets intended for model training, face-generation or biometric datasets, and redistribution through AI training corpora.

If you need it, write to us and we can discuss a separate licence.

08Third-party rights

Every set is visually reviewed for accidental logos, brand marks and other third-party protected material before publication. If you spot something we missed, tell us and we will remove or replace the file.

Where a recognisable product or trademark nevertheless appears, it remains the property of its owner and may require separate clearance for advertising use.
